Check-in begins at 8:00 am Parade begins at 10:00 am Entry Size Requirements Parade entries can be any length. However, keep in mind that there are overhead wires, so entries should not be over 16 feet high. Judging
Judging begins promptly at 8:30 am. Your entry should be checked-in and ready to go at this time. Entries arriving after 8:30 am will not be judged.
Parade Awards
Judges will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons to parade entries in the following categories: Autos, Bike Riders, Dance/Drill Teams, Floats, Horses, Novelty, Mascots and Youth Organizations. All entries are eligible for the “Best Use of Theme” trophy. The 2009 theme is Crawfish...A Wild, Wild Fest!” Each entry (including group entries) will only be eligible to win one award. If you don’t see a category for your entry, please suggest one on your entry form.
Registration/Check-In The registration table will be open beginning at 8:00 am. Each entry MUST check in to receive your number. Entries wanting to be judged should check in between 8:00 – 8:30 am. Non-judged entries should wait until after 8:30 am to check in. Group entries need only have one person check in for the entire group. All entries MUST check in by 9:00 am. Parade formation begins at 9:00 am promptly. Please be in place and ready to go (decorations in place, costumes on, signs on cars, etc.) with your parade entry by 9:00 am or you may lose your place in the formation.
